Tech professionals by day, rockers by night — on Thursday, December 1 they will pick up their instruments and venture onto the big stage to let their alter egos shine… for a good cause and the love of music. Silicon Valley Rocks 2011 will bring together the Valley’s tech community — from VCs and entrepreneurs to bloggers and software developers — to raise money for Music in Schools Today.

Thanks so much to everyone who came! We raised over $15,000 to support music education for children!

WHO: Silicon Valley Rocks! benefitting Music In Schools Today

WHY: All proceeds for Silicon Valley Rocks! will be donated to support music education in the schools.

TICKETS: Event tickets include entry to the showcase and a great night of networking, drinks, and dancing. Ticket purchases are tax deductible. Ticket prices are now $40, and VIP Tickets are $75 and include some free drinks, light nosh, and premier seating. Tickets can be purchased at DNA Lounge's website.

Allen Mask: 20something recording artist whose compositions and productions are suggestive of musically innovative yet universally accepted hip hop. Tech affiliations: Google

The Barricades (formerly Endroit): An indie pop band formed from the broken pieces of other bands many influenced by many genres and eras. Tech affiliations: Twilio

Fox Picnic: With their classic rock ‘n roll style, their music ranges from AC/DC to Black Keys and from Jet to OK Go. Tech affiliations: Songbird, Adobe

Ingar Brown & the Future Funk: Funk, hip-hop, soul, dance and R&B all wrapped up in an eclectic box that’s ready to get any party started. Tech affiliations: Mashery

feedbomb: Hackers by day, rockers by night, feedbomb features past and current FBers, who even got a nod from MTV. Tech affiliations: Facebook

Coverflow: Energetic and fun cover band who has made the tech-party circuit. Tech affiliations: Mayfield, Facebook, Blippy, Dropbox
