Give your teachers the skills necessary to deliver a comprehensive music-integrated language arts curriculum!

Classroom Music Making

12 hours of Professional Development

Teachers will receive an introductory six-hour, hands-on professional development session, gaining basic rhythm and music skills while exploring grade-level appropriate music standards and language arts standards. The outcome is that they will understand ways to integrate music into their curriculum.

A music coach will work with your teachers during six two-hour follow-ups to increase their rhythm skills and understanding of music integration.

Classroom Music Making and Coaching

All of the above, PLUS a 12-16 week residency

A music coach will follow-up, teaching students a rhythmic integration class once a week for 50 minutes for 12-16 weeks. Classroom teachers will reinforce these lessons on their own, and eventually become class leaders.

Teachers will work with the coach to reinforce Language Arts standards, vocabulary, and learning skills.

Coaching Model:

The teaching artist gradually releases responsibility to the classroom teachers to implement the program on their own.
